What would a university be without students!? But like any school, there are rules for attending that must be followed. Here are the guidelines to being a student here at Merlin’s Academy:

    • This site works on a timeline of 4 months Real Life = 1 year In Game. Each year in game will consist of three lessons, one month (RL) each, with the fourth month (RL) being summertime.

    • Each major includes a total of 4 years in classes, and 1 year of internship/apprenticeship in your designated field. Your character may begin at any point in this process that you wish (Freshman, Senior, etc.), but they MUST complete one year of classes before entering into their internship/apprenticeship.

    • Each student is required to attend, and participate in, a minimum of 1 class per school year. We ask that your minimum class include full participation in the lesson, not simply showing up for the class. If it becomes a pattern of the latter, you may be contacted by an Admin. However you choose to attend classes, so long as you meet the minimum requirement, you will graduate on to the next year in your major.

Note: If your character is created after Lesson 3 has started for the year, you have two options. You may participate as whatever year you claimed, and simply choose to stay that year after the summer. With participation in the class, you will be free to move up in a year, as per the rule. Your other option would be to wait until after the coming summer time, and simply start at your stated year at that point. If there are questions, please ask and Admin.

    • Professors have been asked to post up classes within the first week of the month. The sooner they post it, the sooner you may attend, and the sooner they can begin the lesson. So be on the look-out during these times so that you aren’t late to class!

    • Classes will be closed at the end of each month, either by the professor or an Admin. Any posts made in classes after the ending of the month will not be counted towards your participation.

    • Since this university, and the classes therein, do not exist in the canon Harry Potter world, most of this is going to depend on your own creativity. Please use this opportunity to expand your writing, character creation, and personal skills. If you ever need any assistance or support, the admins/mods are ALWAYS here to help!
