HER HISTORY

In 1998, at the end of the war, Kehlani was moved from the forests of Hoia Baciu where her parents, a muggleborn by the name of Jezebel Brisby and a muggleborn of the name Killian Edgars, lived with Killian's family. She was raised by her grandparents and didn't know about her predicament until she was six; she refused to consider her grandparents as anything but her real parents despite their blood differences.

She was seven years old when she showed signs of magical capability at a Christmas party when her mother, not her biological one, asked her to change. She threw a tantrum and her magic fizzled around her enough for Natalia to know that her granddaughter was a witch like her daughter. Now although Kehlani is a witch, she's a very weak magical core. It's why she's always disliked the heavy-magic reliant classes. It made her feel inadequate. She never excelled in the hands-on work for most classes that required magic so she took up studying and all the booksy stuff. Which she doesn't really like, she only did it as a means to an end so she could pass her classes.

In her Hogwarts years, Kehlani was better at the social aspect of schooling. She was brilliant at making friends with everyone she could. She won't lie and say that she never faltered because if a Ravenclaw who was desperate for attention was willing to write a few DAtDA essays for her, who was she to say no? No one, that was the answer. So she made lots of friends and it was in Hogwarts that she came to terms with her sexuality; she's pansexual. It means she doesn't care about gender; cis, trans, or other means nothing to her.

She loves people, and she wants to spread her love around the world, but naturally she can't.

After Hogwarts, she decided to take on the family business as she'd been running it since she was 16 in the summertimes. She's happy with her life, and only looking to make new friends and have more adventures.

HER FAMILY HISTORY

Jezebel Brisby was always a bit of a loon; especially in her Hogwarts years. Although she was no Luna Lovegood, she was definitely of the whimsical nature. She was a beauty, however, and from a decent family seeing as her father was a stock-broke worker from America and her mother owned the Honeydale Tea Shop. Amongst her whimsical taste for oddities in life (people often called her "little bird" because she liked to collect shiny, pretty items), she was very beautiful. Jessie's parents wanted her to marry a half-blood by the name of Preston Belvedere from Ireland.

However, Jessie chose her own life.

She was in her second year of college at Merlin's Academy for Excellence for Potioneering when she met the love of her life: Killian Edgars. He and his family were muggles too; apart of a commune that lived off the grid off of natural energy.

Killian married her that summer that of 1997; she dropped out of college and basically went MIA living with Edgars family commune in the Hoia Baciu forest. In the summer months of 1996, Jezebel became pregnant with Kehlani. She continued to live with the commune until after Kehlani was born. She was twenty-one years old when she realized the anarchy of the commune and how very wrong it would have been to raise a daughter with no framework. Or rather she wanted her daughter to have a better experience as an actual person. After talking about it with Killian, they decided to send Kehlani to live with Jezebel's parents in Hogsmeade at the end of the war.
