At Merlin's Academy, you really got the special treatment, both in form of how you lived, the food you ate and the classes you were taught. The ground were amazing, even rivaling that of Hogwarts. The people were all adults, and there was no stupid house feuds. But there was one thing that the MA had not delievered on that Ariel really missed; Quidditch. Now, she hadn't really expected there to be Quidditch tournaments in the form of Hogwarts, of course not. She hadn't expected there to be any sort of flying at all, really. But she hadn't realized how much she would miss it either.
Truth be told, she'd not been flying for two years, but the feeling of living on a school, be it an academy or not, made her feel something was missing, and Quidditch was that something. So you could imagine her surprise when she finally realized that the academy had a bloody Quidditch pitch! She'd all but sprinted down to the owlery and asked her parents to send her her broom as soon as possible. And today was the day. Today, she'd received her parcel.
So, straight after a nice and good breakfast, she'd quickly gotten her ass down to the field with her broom thrown over her shoulder. And she was currently swaying in the air. The feeling of flying was much like you'd imagine. Everything you had to worry about was left behind on the ground. It just was. When you were in the air, what was going on when your feet were planted on the ground just seemed distant. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that humans didn't usually fly, but on a broom, everything was possible.
She didn't quite know how long she kept circling the field and flying over the forest a couple of times, but in the end, she finally made for the ground and her feet landed gracefully. It wasn't before she dismounted the broom that she realized she wasn't alone anymore. She looked a few meters away and saw a girl she didn't know. Ariel put on her best smile and waved her hand. "Hello!" she said joyously and started walking towards the girl; maybe she enjoyed Quidditch too!
