Tess' Bedroom

Throughout the whole manner there is a classic and cold Victorian feel; but in her own room she felt at home. Coming in she felt like a weight is always lifted off her shoulders. Her room is teal, her lights making it lighter than it is, her bedroom is constantly a mess. Whether it be books thrown in a corner as she laid down to read there, or thrown on the couch where she is often found asleep. Like her sister, she devoted a wall all to books, and she has no regrets. The perfect time of day is when the sun streams into the room and warms up the library.

Over her bed, there is a painted tree with birds, it is used to symbolize freedom. She wanted bright lights near it to make her look at something happy around her. She knows that outside she is asked to be cold and crass, but that's survival. In her private room, she is herself, a quiet and introverted girl, who just takes pride in the little things, like her room. Her mother asked if she could change it a bit, and without even agreeing, there was a connecting bathroom and beauty station to help her become "a lady" and without saying, they mean her sister.
