Dimitrius bid a farewell to his parents and younger brother as they left him to his own devices. He was the only one in his family that had a passion for coffee and coffee flavored beverages. He also shared his mother's love of tea, but his father preferred Vodka and harder liquor over the girly wile of coffee beans. Entering the establishment, Dimitri rocked back and forth on his heels when he stopped before the counter, wondering just what he would try first.

Leaning against the counter, the Muggleborn wizard tapped his fingers on his face as he mentally counted how much money he had with him. He didn't have much, but he wasn't completely dirt poor either. Looking at the woman behind the counter, he cast a smile at her. "Have you tried anything here? Do you happen to have any recommendations?"

She stared at him evenly before shaking her head. Shrugging to himself, the boy leaned back and stared at the menu with eager eyes once more. "Fine then, lass. I'll be verra pleased with anything I happen ta get my 'ands on either way."

Aria laughed along as some of the girls were coming up with a new gossip to spread around. It was so interesting how they easily congregated, like hens in a pen. She had to admit a part of her liked it, the way they needed the approval and her to laugh to make it okay. It was a relief to had been able to avoid clinging to her sister the whole time that she would be in Hogwarts. The moment they had entered both had gone their own ways, Tess for perpetual loneliness and Aria in the spotlight she had been waiting for.

She smirked slightly at the thought, but something caught her eye. She was fond of sweets and especially when it came to coffee. Looking back at her group she told them that she would wait for them once she got her fill of coffee. They agreed to meet at the sweets shop and they went off. Aria sighed in relief and pushed the door open, glad to have this freedom before she had to return to Hogwarts.

Walking towards the counter, she smiled brightly at the female server, glad to have a smile back towards her. Moving a strand of wild hair from her bun she looked up at the menu.

"I'll have an espresso please, extra sugar as well" she asked.

Her eyes went to the boy that looked very indecisive and wondered what was so hard about picking something with caffeine.

A couple of emotions crossed Dimitrius' face as he tried to decide what he wanted. There was a selection of espressos, cappuccinos, straight coffees, and Merlin, was there even tea here? "This is ta best place in the world," he whispered to himself, nearly bursting with excitement. And yet he still didn't know what he would be having!

He cast a quick glance over to the girl who seemed to know exactly what she wanted. He wished that he was that quick when it came to deciding on which thing to get. He figured that straight black coffee wouldn't work, even if the aroma was mouth watering. His mother usually rapped him on the head for drinking straight coffee and told him that it stained his teeth. She normally said it in a thick Scottish brogue enough to where he didn't really understand her - or at least he pretended not to.

Shifting his weight and debating on the pros and cons, the boy hesitantly asked, "D'ya come here often? I-I mean to try out the coffee. Just so ya can tell me what's really good an' what I should try first? If'n ya don't mind o' course."

Aria smiled despite herself when they made eye contact. He looked so indecisive, that it amused her greatly how something as simple as coffee could confuse someone. She was not fond of tea, the taste was lacking, but the strong smell and taste of coffee was the preferred temptation. Espresso was her favorite for the thickness of the coffee and the smell, it was far better than plain black. But as he asked her the question, she chuckled as he began to explain the whole situation.

"Well the black coffee is good if you need a kick. They have cold coffees if you want something lighter, I prefer the mocha one. I'm not one for tea so I can't help you there, and as for espressos...they're the best" she quipped.

Dimitri nodded along with her as she listed off the suggestions. He had really been considering that black coffee, but then a phantom pain ghosted across the back of his head as if he had been hit by his mother with the wooden spoon she was so fond of. Scratching his eyebrow in thought, the boy returned to his debate.

"I really like both coffee an' tea, so sometimes I cannae decide on what to get. I'll 'ave to get back to Hawke and my parents soon enough, but I've just come here for a bit o' relaxation. If I had known about this place sooner, I would 'ave come here in my fifth or sixth year."

He sent a smile toward the girl to show his appreciation before he approached the counter again. "I'll take an espresso then. And maybe a blueberry muffin. Or maybe banana nut? Uh er wait, I'll take one o' each."

Aria smiled as he began to explain his situation, he seemed nice enough, harmless her mind said and she relaxed. It seemed a bit frivolous to get worked up over coffee, but then again everyone had their quirks. She simply laughed politely and figured it was time for her to introduce herself.

"I'm sorry where are my manners" she said amused, "I'm Aria, nice to meet you"

As she introduced herself, her espresso was brought up and she thanked the waitress, turning over to the boy to see his ordering. He was quirky, if that's the way she could word it. And bit her lip as he mulled over muffins. Walking towards the empty table, she sat down, crossing her legs and moving the espresso with her spoon hoping to help it cool off.

He nodded to the girl as she introduced herself. A look of horror crossed his face quickly as he realized that he hadn't even introduced himself! His mother would definitely beat him over the head for that one, while his father would have his hide. They had certainly raised him better than that! Keeping a closed fist on his left shoulder as his arm crossed his body, he bent at the waist as his father had taught him while they had lived in Russia.

"Forgive my rudeness. Dimitrius Starikov at your service miss." He straightened quickly before awaiting his own espresso. His eyes followed the girl's form as she went over and sat down at an empty table. After spacing out a bit, he jumped when the lady behind the counter had told him his drink was ready before pushing over two muffins for him. "Enjoy."

"Thank ya verra much," he said quickly, nodding his head as he made his way over to the girl he now knew as Aria. "I hope ya donnae mind if I join you? I've got one of each flavor here so you can pick which muffin you want." He sat across from her and tossed a short smile her way as he leg started bouncing. He placed his hand on his knee to try and hide his nervousness. He didn't want to be told to move to a different seat after all. She seemed like a nice girl to him at least.

Aria genuinely laughed at his awkward introduction, his expression of sheer embarrassment of not introducing himself. She shook her head and waved Dimitrius off, not minding his late introduction, for she had done the same. She knew he was going to ask to sit with her, even when there were other free tables simply because it was more socially acceptable to try and make conversation, so she sipped her drink and waited.

Soon enough he got his espresso and she casually drank as she studied him. Nice enough, same age if not older, and definitely in Hogwarts. She wondered why she never saw him before. As he walked towards her, she moved her gaze away from him, pretending to take in the atmosphere. And when he asked to sit she smiled and signaled him to do so.

"I'll take the blueberry" she giggled politely and took it. It looked tempting and who was she to not accept sweets from a nice enough guy. "I see you like coffee a lot" she commented before taking a bite of her pastry.

Dimitrius was happy that the girl hadn't turned him away. After all, he preferred to have company to sitting by himself awkwardly. Especially if he had made some type of conversation with a person previously. Besides, she seemed to be around his age at least, so why wouldn't he want to get to know her better? He could have seen her at Hogwarts for all he knew!

The boy grinned as he unwrapped his banana nut muffin. He was secretly glad that the girl had taken the blueberry one. He enjoyed both pastries immensely, but there wasn't anything better than banana nut in his eyes. Sipping at the drink he had ordered previously, the boy nodded his head. "Coffee an' tea are my favorite drink items. My mother likes ta rap me on ta back of the head when I drink straight black coffee, bu' I get my love o' tea from 'er."

He took a bite of his muffin and savored the flavor before placing it back down on the wrapper. "Da doesnae like coffee or tea, and Hawke doesnae like either. Sometimes I wonder if 'e's really my younger brother. Siblings are rather interesting no? Ah, assuming ya actually 'ave some. I donnae think I actually asked since it was more of an observation really an' I"ll jus' stop talking now yes."

Aria had to admit that she regretted not grabbing pastries earlier from Coco's; the muffin was not dry and definitely had a sweetness she enjoyed. As he talked, she noticed how animated he could become, and she found that she didn't mind it too much. He seemed nice enough, no malice behind his chatting, definitely had to have gone to school at Hogwarts, she just never paid attention.

"My parents adore tea more than coffee, as does my older brother. I'm the one with the sweet tooth more than anything" she commented lightly when he mentioned his parents. "and coffee falls into those categories. They think it's atrocious for my health"

As he began to talk about siblings her thoughts immediately went to her two. Mycroft was more tolerable than anything, there wasn't anything wrong with him, except for the fact he tried very little to bond with her. She could blame it on the age gap, but in reality he was closer to Tess because of their similar personalities. Oh and her baby sister Tess, yes her baby sister, because she was born last. So cute, yet so weak, that was her charm she supposed.

Aria laughed when Dimitrius realized he was ranting and waved him off.

"Oh no it's fine," she said grinning, "I have two siblings, one younger and one older. So I can tell you that sometimes I wonder how we can all be related" She shook her head thinking about the two. "But tell me about yourself, do you go to school?"

Dimitrius found himself nodding, trying to refrain from stuffing his mouth with the rest of his muffin that seemed like it was too good for a coffee shop in the middle of London. If he had to be honest with himself, it seemed like the pastries were professionally made. He let the muffin sit for the moment while he sipped at his still clearly hot drink. He would have to savor it and try not to make a mad dash up there once the last bite of muffin had been eaten for another one.

He listened as the girl talked about the siblings she had. So she had an older brother or sister? The boy paused, wondering how old that made him/her. Clearly, Dimitrius was out of his element since meeting people wasn't exactly on his 'to-do' list, but he had been taught to screw his courage to the sticking post. It's no wonder the hat thought he would do well in the House of the Brave. Placing his drink back down on the table, Dimitri scratched at his eyebrow. He wasn't fond of talking about himself, but he supposed he could give it a try.

"I go ta Hogwarts," the boy finally said, nodding his head. "This'll be my last year. I'll be a tad bit sad to go, but tis been a real blast making tons o' memories with those that I know within the halls. I'm a Gryffindor meself, house of the brave and all that, and I'm a Muggleborn. Half-Russian an' half-Scottish, if'n ya couldnae tell by the accent that I try to reign in most days. I already mentioned 'awke to ya. Parents think 'e's a muggle like them, but I 'ave a feeling that he'll be joining the Hogwarts crew yet." Trying to keep from rambling on, the boy shut his mouth and thought about what he would say next. "But that's enough about me I think. What about you?

Aria studied the way he seem to keep himself in check, she personally couldn't care less to see him regulated, but it was amusing to see him trying. She simply took another bite of her pastry pretending to ignore his dilemma. She was trying to see if she had ever seen him before, she was typically good with people, but this didn't seem the case this time, because it wasn't clicking.

As he spoke about going to Hogwarts she perked up with curiosity. Oh so he did go, and a seventh year, she had advanced potions, but she guessed they didn't have it in the same period. Pity. And Gryffindor, well that wasn't too bad. She had no preference of house, already being dealt with the Ravenclaw card. She was sipping her drink when she heard Muggleborn and she looked at him curiously. Her family were always a bit iffy about the whole subject, no one mentioning the past, that was far too long for them to remember those times. But while there were many Muggleborns in the school, few were actually in her inner circles. Somehow it always ended with the same kind of blood. As he spoke about himself, she wondered how it all worked, never having the nerve to ask something tricky such as blood.

"Not much to tell. I go to Hogwarts too, I'm a Ravenclaw, so you know, brains and love of books" she said half smiling, "It's my sixth year, sadly didn't get Head girl like I wanted. My last name is Holmes so..pureblood. I have a sibling in the school too, but we aren't seen together, we're happy to be away from one another in the castle walls. Sometimes you need space. She's not the most social creature so you'd never see her. As for me? Well I love getting to know people, I want to be an Auror once I get out, or a Potioneer. The options are open." she sighed seeing herself so close to getting out of Hogwarts. "What are you plans after graduation?"
