Allendra knew there would be a time where she would have to face Ellingston. She claimed she had a bug for the first week and stayed in her dormitory and fell sick for another week. She took a trip to the hospital wing and found out she had a bad case of the flu. During that week, she couldn't hold down water and crackers without throwing up her internal organs with it. Another friend from her class gave her notes so she could be on top of the class but she couldn't concentrate unless she was actually there. Halfway though the two weeks, the professor set an essay to be sent in by the end of the week. As much as it bothered Allendra to do it, she completed it while she was actually sick so she could hand it in.

The hospital nurse said Allendra was right to go on the Friday afternoon after lessons had finished. Technically, she was still in the time bracket that it needed to be handed in. Unluckily enough for her friend Naomi, she caught Allendra's bug and she had to hand in her assignment as well. So, off Allendra went to find Ellingston's office. Allendra had to admit that she felt awkward. When she went off that afternoon, the girls had pulled her into the dormitory to get the 101 of their private meeting. It was amazing what vivid imaginations these women had, it was like they were hungry wolves.

"Did he take off his shirt for you in case you were injured?"
"I heard that he took you to a private place of the forest."
"I swear the look on his face when you took control of the situation was admiration for his student."

It was incredible and Allendra had to admit that she liked being in that kind of spotlight. However, it isn't incredible that she now has to face Ellingston to hand in assignments. It was like giving satisfaction. Allendra would never let anyone have the satisfaction that they over ruled her. On her merry way, Allendra set off for Ellingston's office.

Allendra was stopped in the corridor a few times by other students to have conversations about what happened in the clearing. Since she had been sick, they were waiting for her to appear. Some people thought she was sick since she had major burns from the dragons. The disappointment when it was only the flu was amazing. A few teachers also asked to see how she was doing, it made her feel like a celebrity. Really, did people miss her that much?

It wasn't long before Allendra found herself outside of Ellington's office. Gritting her teeth, she pulled the cloak she was wearing tighter around her and gripped the folder firmly in her hand. Right, do this quickly and don't initiate conversation. Allendra reminded herself. Raising her free hand, she knocked three time on the door. When she heard a muffled voice behind the door, she opened it slowly and walked in.

After what could be considered a rather interesting day, to which he told nobody and nobody dared to ask, although he knew rumours were flying, Codey had simply settled back into routine, ignoring the stories which he heard students uttering. It was no big secret to Codey that more than half the females in his class had crushes on him - he tended to have that effect on people - but he did not pay any attention to it. He was their Professor and nothing more; besides, he knew better than to start anything with a student, although some playful flirting always worked wonders for those females that needed an extra push to study hard.

It was the second week of Allendra's absence that Codey became curious, wondering if there was a legitimate reason or if she was playing truant. If it were the latter, he would have words with the Headmaster and get her booted from this course - dragon trainers never hid from anything, and if something like a kiss was making the girl too embarrassed to come to class, it would show that (quite unfortunately) she was not dragon trainer material, despite her performance in the field. Finding out she was quite honestly sick, he left it alone, instead sending her the homework that she had missed along with some of his own notes.

He was sitting in his office after finishing class, marking the essays that had been handed up that very afternoon, when there came a knock on his door. "Come in," he called lazily, not bothering to pick up his wand to open it; the person could do it themselves.

Hearing footsteps enter, his eyes flickered up for a brief second before returning to the current essay. Without bothering to look up, he let a few moments passed as he finished writing a comment and placing the parchment aside. Picking up one more from the pile, he continued marking. "How may I asist you today, Miss Allendra?" he asked quietly, quill still moving as he placed ticks and underlined sentences, purposely emphasising the word.

Allendra left the door half open as she walked in. In her mind, she wanted to dump the papers on the desk and leave but she had to have a mature approach to the situation. Ellingston spoke in a quiet voice, seeming to be paying attention to the papers he was marking than his student. Quite obviously, Allendra had better things to do and people to see then stand awkwardly in his office. Walking to the front of the desk, the only sound in the room was her high heels on the stone floors. Following that sound was the placing of paper on the professor's desk.

Her eyes narrowed down at the paper he was marking, there was a lot of pen on that page and she felt sorry for the student. Looking down at her own on top, it was in a neat red folder with a nice title page. Allendra was all about presentation. Raising both eyebrows, she blinked a few times at him. Wow, what a prick. Allendra thought.

"Here is my essay as well as Naomi's who has fallen ill. I trust you know of my absence and I have caught up on the work set in class." Allendra said in a simple and plain voice. Waiting a few moments, there was a silence. Shrugging, she walked towards the door and closed it behind her before Ellingston could say anything more. This man wasn't anything from the usual. Hot but an absolute prick. These type were best kept on leads. Once she firmly shut the door, she began walking down the corridor.

Noting the open door, Codey hid a smile as he wandlessly closed it. He didn't like people not closing them when they entered - it was just not the polite thing to do. As she spoke, he slowly and deliberately put down his quill, looking up at her. When she finished speaking, he didn't say anything just yet, instead picking up her assignment and thumbing through it. A noise made him glance up over the top and he raised his eyebrows in surprise at the nerve of the witch; she had actually turned around and was walking out.

This quite frankly irked him, as he was obviously not done. Still, after what she had done the other day, he couldn't quite blame her for being such in a hurry to leave. Codey had indeed done his research, and now knew more about the witch's past than her best friend probably did - if she had a best friend. It was amazing what a few bribes in the right directions could get a person in terms of information.

Waiting until the door was closed, he counted a few seconds off in his mind, until he estimated she was halfway down the corridor before slipping out his wand and silently conjuring up his patronus. Sending it out the door and into the walkway, he smirked to himself as he wondered if she would know it was him before it began to speak. Certainly a miniature dragon would be obvious?

In his mind, he focused, and heard his own voice slipping under the cracks of the door as he made the patronus say, "Miss Allendra, I have not finished speaking with you. Would you kindly please return to my office?"

Allendra heard a wavering voice behind her and it came closer to her. There weren’t any footsteps accompanying the voice and Allendra knew that it was his patronus. In a way, she found it annoying that he couldn’t get off his backside to talk to her. On the other hand, it was fascinating to see what his patronus was. Sure enough, it was a miniature dragon. Allendra doesn’t have a patronus of her own, she hadn’t discovered it yet. Looking at the patronus, she saw it hang around and finishing giving its message and fade into nothing.

Sighing, Allendra walked back to the office. She was annoyed. Today wasn’t one of the days where things like this should be happening but alas, it was. Rubbing her forehead gently, she opened the door and closed it behind her. Walking over, she took a seat across from his desk, looking him dead in the eyes. “Yes, Professor?” She said with an icy edge in her voice. Looking down at his desk, he had already began to thumb through her essay. Obviously, this was going to be on the spot criticism. Just what Allendra loved.

Honestly, Allendra didn’t have anything further to say to him. The ball was in his court and she wasn’t going to make the first move. While she waited, she took the liberty of looking around his office. It was interesting, of course. The room felt warm, just like the fire that dragons breathed. She wasn’t sure how long she was lost in thought for. She turned back to him when his voice her thoughts. “Mmm?” She hummed, looking out the window to the left of her.

As the door opened, Codey didn't bother looking up from the paper, instead smirking to himself. Picking up his wand, he gave it a casual flick, locking the door with a soft click that was almost inaudible; not even Codey could hear it, but he trusted his abilities enough to know it did as he wanted. The tone with which Allendra was talking to him did nothing, except make his smirk grow. He loved being the one in control, keeping calm despite the storm.

Purposely slowing down his reading, he took his time to go through her paper, going as slow as he possibly could. For ten whole minutes he made the witch sit in silence, the whole time quite enjoying it. He was in control of the situation and he was pretty sure Allendra knew; and this time, he was much more prepared for dealing with the witch.

"Miss Allendra," he called, finally putting down her work. Waiting till she turned back towards him, he smirked at her. "Are you feeling better? Two weeks of being sick must have been a serious illness. Unless, of course, you had been avoiding me, in which case I strongly recommend you quit this course right now. Dragon trainers never run away from situations." This last part he meant with complete sincerity, although not in the case of this topic. And while he wasn't completely sure if her sickness had been faked, two weeks was indeed a very long time to be ill, and he had his suspicions.

"Now, I have just given the class their first long term assignment and I wish to speak with you personally about it, because I do not trust you receiving the information from anyone other than myself," he continued, waiting to hear her answer before he moved on.

Allendra wasn't bothered by the waiting. She was absorbed in her own thoughts to care what the professor was doing. Sure, he irked her but it was in Allendra's best interest for him to not know that. Once brought back to reality by him saying her name, she saw the smirk that accompanied it. He seemed to smirk a lot, as if he was always one up from her. Raising a brow, she kept quiet as he continued.

"Are you feeling better? Two weeks of being sick must have been a serious illness. Unless, of course, you had been avoiding me, in which case I strongly recommend you quit this course right now. Dragon trainers never run away from situations."

His voice was patronising just as it always was. Perhaps he has a superioty complex? Allendra thought to herself. She held back a chuckle and dropped the gaze they were holding. It was funny, that he would assume that she was running away from a situation. He didn't know a thing about her, her ethics or her values. She was the Allendra Jarraden for a reason and that reason was not to be discussed with Ellingston.

"I was ill and I am feeling better otherwise I would not be here." She said bluntly, leaving that part of the conversation at that. She didn't bother making a reference to his 'dragon trainers never quit' because she knew it would turn into his life story on how he did this and that. Honestly, he had a bigger head than her, surprisingly enough. Allendra never went out bragging about what she can do, even if she commits her life to it and she knows that she is good at it. It never got her further in life and she highly doubted that the professor did either.

When the professor spoke to her again, she returned her gaze back to his eyes. Once he finished, she patted her pockets and realised that they were empty. Standing up, she walked over to his desk and took spare parchment and a quill from the top. The quicker she took notes, the quicker she could get out of there. Allendra wasn't quite sure what she was feeling. She felt pissed off most of the time that he could talk to her in a particular way but when she did it, it was certainly not correct. Whether or not Ellingston was her professor, there is a way that Allendra should be addressed and what he was doing wasn't right.

And, Allendra could always just break his neck.
